Cadets who have experienced a sexual violence are encouraged to seek support as needed for their health and safety regardless of whether the incident occurred days, weeks, months, or years ago. This information is intended to provide various support options available to assist in making informed choices about accommodations and next steps:

VALORUS provides leadership, vision and resources to rape crisis centers, individuals and other entities committed to ending sexual violence.

Financial Support
For Cadets: The Cadet Emergency Grant supports cadets experiencing a financial emergency or unanticipated expenses, causing financial hardship. This program is designed to assist in situations where the emergency may impede academic progress, and for those who cannot reasonably resolve their financial difficulty through other resources. Emergency grants reimburse actual expenses and do not have to be repaid. cadets apply through an online application and are awarded on a first-come, first served basis.
For Employees: CalVCP can help pay bills and expenses that result from qualifying violent crimes (including sexual and domestic violence). Some expenses that may be covered include medical and mental health bills, relocation, income loss, home security and other crime related expenses. AB 809 amends Title IX protections and:
- Encourages all public colleges and universities in California to post Title IX protections for pregnant and parenting students to their website;
- Encourages each campus to distribute this information at on-campus health centers;
- Encourages on-campus childcare programs to prioritize children of low-income single parents.
